Vendor Listing Standards

St. Kitts Nevis Flag is a curated marketplace for products inspired by St. Kitts & Nevis culture, heritage and identity. These listing standards help keep the marketplace trustworthy for shoppers and fair for sellers. All sellers are expected to follow them.

Accurate, honest listings

Product titles should be clear and describe the item plainly. Descriptions must be accurate and must not mislead customers about what they are buying.

Images

Images must clearly show the actual item or design being sold. Use your own photos or images you are authorised to use. Do not use stolen photos, copied artwork or designs you do not have the rights to sell.

Pricing and availability

Prices must be accurate and shown clearly. Stock and availability must be truthful, so customers are not offered items that cannot be supplied.

Shipping and dispatch

Shipping settings must be complete and realistic for the destinations you serve. Dispatch and handling times should be honest, so customers know what to expect.

How shipping works on this marketplace

The marketplace sells two kinds of products, and shipping works differently for each.

Our own print-on-demand products are made and dispatched by our print partner. Shipping for these is calculated automatically at checkout using the print partner’s live rates. Sellers do not set these rates.

Seller products are packed and dispatched by the seller. Shipping is based on three things: where the seller ships from (origin), the size band of the product, and where the customer lives (destination). Sellers enter their rates in their store dashboard shipping settings, and we review and approve every seller’s shipping setup before products go live.

Shipping bands

Every seller product belongs to one of four shipping bands. The band, together with the destination, decides the shipping price a customer pays.

  • Band A — Small and lightweight. Examples: stickers, small flat items, small accessories.
  • Band B — Standard parcel. Examples: ordinary boxed items, small homeware, light gifts.
  • Band C — Bulky or fragile. Examples: framed items, larger craft pieces, breakable products.
  • Band D — Oversized or special quote. Examples: oversized art, very fragile items, heavy goods, anything that needs an individual shipping quote.

Please choose a band carefully and honestly. We check banding as part of product review and may correct a product’s band before it is published.

Band D — oversized, quote-first products

Band D is for oversized, fragile, heavy or awkward products where one fixed shipping price would not be fair or realistic. These products are sold on a quote-first basis: they stay visible and discoverable in the marketplace, but customers ask for a shipping quote by email before paying, instead of using the normal cart.

To list a Band D product:

  • Assign the Band D shipping class to the product.
  • Leave the product price empty. The product stays visible, but the add-to-cart button is removed so it cannot be bought without a quote. A guide price may be included in the product description if helpful.
  • Include wording like this in the product description: “Oversized item — shipping is quoted individually before purchase. Please contact shopskn@stkittsnevisflag.com with your delivery address for a shipping quote. Once agreed, we’ll send you a secure payment link for the full order.”

How a Band D sale works: the customer emails shopskn@stkittsnevisflag.com with their delivery address → the shipping quote is agreed (we will ask you for a quote if needed) → we create the order manually with the agreed prices → the customer pays through a secure payment link by PayPal or card → you dispatch only after payment is confirmed.

The US$150 Band D value you may see in shipping settings is only a safety net for products accidentally published with a normal price — it is not a real shipping rate. Do not set the Band D value to zero, and do not give oversized products free shipping by default.

Cultural relevance and respect

Products should be relevant to the marketplace and respectful of St. Kitts & Nevis culture, heritage and people. Listings that are disrespectful or unrelated to the marketplace focus may be declined.

Prohibited products

Counterfeit, misleading, unsafe, illegal or otherwise prohibited goods are not allowed. Unauthorised use of trademarks, logos, copyrighted artwork or other intellectual property is not permitted.

Review and enforcement

The marketplace may reject, edit, pause or remove any listing that does not meet these standards, in order to protect customers and the marketplace.

Fulfilment responsibility

Sellers are responsible for fulfilling their own products, including packing, dispatch, delivery and resolving any issues with their orders.

We may update these standards from time to time to keep the marketplace working well for shoppers and sellers. If anything here is unclear, contact us at shopskn@stkittsnevisflag.com and we’ll be happy to help.
